Another brief update. Today we were in De Smet where the Ingalls family and the Wilder family spent a number of years. We saw the Ingalls homestead which has been turned into a living museum. The grounds are just beautiful and I can see why Pa Ingalls decided to build there. Donna drove us around the farm in a golf cart so we could see the different sites. We rode in a covered wagon to the school house and had "a lesson". It was so great. In town we saw the Ingalls home built in 1887. We saw the Loftus store and two buildings next to it. These are the only three original buildings left in town. Tonight we are staying at the Rodeway Inn, a motel in Kadoka, SD. Kadoka is called the "gateway to the badlands". Tomorrow we are heading to Wall Drugstore, Mt. Rushmore and Crazy horse. It will be another very full day. Look for updates again tomorrow, assuming we get internet at night.

You are getting to see some amazing sights. All this talk about Laura Ingalls Wilder is making me want to read those books. I wonder if Anna would enjoy them.
