ANITA'S UNIVERSITY (formerly called Anita Goodesign party)

Quality Sewing in Silverdale
Our Embroidery Event was on January 13th and 14th.

Debbie, Donna and I attended.  Debbie was only able to be there Friday.  I really enjoyed it.  I got pretty tired but it was fun.  We always learn something new.

Above are some of the projects we worked on.

Donna and I stayed at the Best Western in Silverdale on Friday night.  First the key card would not work so  I stayed by the bags until Donna got it reset.  Donna went to the pool while I stayed in the room and watched my favorite soap opera her laptop. When Donna got back I realized the beds were so high that there was no way I could get on the bed.  Donna called and got a stool for me.  It was still a little tricky getting in and out but I made it.  My biggest problem is that I have to get up so much in the night. The hotel has a live band on Friday nights so that kept Donna awake for a bit.

We were served a nice lunch both days.  We were able to see the upcoming patterns on a screen while we were eating.  There are some exciting patterns coming up. The one I am really looking forward to is a pattern of "The Last Supper" which is a copy of a painting.  It will not come out until March. That is going to be a masterpiece for me to do. I need to try to get my quilt done so I can start on that.

NEW YEARS DAY -----2018

Covered bridge wall hanging

It is still hard for me to realize that my sister is gone.  Things change and that is the way of life.

The best thing for me is to stay busy.  I am blessed that I have so much family around.

I finished my Covered Bridge project.  I love looking at it because the colors are so beautiful.  Fall is a beautiful time of the year.

Now I am working on the Big Blossom quilt for my bed. I am working on the 13th square right now.  This will keep me busy for awhile. There are 63 squares altogether.
