Back from Sequim

Laif picked me up on Thursday afternoon, January 14th. Friday, Donna and I went to get manicures and pedicures. Sunday we went to Church and Donna gave her Relief Society lesson. It was very good and she did a great job. Early Monday morning, we had a rain and windstorm come through and the power was out for a couple of hours. Also Monday was MLK day, Donna, her neighbor, Marge and Marge' dog and I all went for a walk in a nice park that was near by. It was probably about a mile walk. Saturday I had bought another walker to have for long walks and I am just leaving it at Donna's. Tuesday, Donna had to work half a day and then she had some other things to do. Marge Otte came over and took me out to lunch. Wednesday, Marge Swift, the neighbor, and I went shopping. We went to Petco, Penney's and Frick Drugs. She was going to take me out to lunch but we spent so much time shopping that we ran out of time. Marge had to be back at 2pm to take her husband, George, somewhere. I wasn't really wanting to eat out two days in a row anyway. Donna and I watched our Soap Operas and other shows and just relaxed in general. I really enjoyed being with Donna and Laif. Debbie and Erik came on Friday to take me back home. I was happy to get back to my "apartment". It is hard because I like being both places. Marge Otte has a really nice apartment in downtown Sequim. I met her boyfriend, Harry. He seems like a really nice guy.

Being kidnapped again

All my babies from my different trips. Donna and Laif are swishing me away again. I really didn't plan on going anywhere so soon. I am just starting to feel like myself again. I had such a time getting over Broncitis this time.

I am sure it will be good for me to do something different for a few days. I am going over with Laif, Thursday afternoon and will be back on Saturday, the 23rd. Marge Otte has her place sold and has moved into a Senior Apt. downtown. I will get to go there Saturday. I am so glad she has moved into town. Donna will be teaching the Relief Society lesson on Sunday so that will be nice. I am not sure what else we are doing but I guess I will find out.

The sad part is that I will not be able to see Debbie before I go. She had to spend an extra week in Dallas and will not be leaving until Friday and I will be going on Thursday.

Remembering our trip to Disneyworld

Our Safari ride at Disneyworld. It is so great to see animals running free and not caged up.
I have been enjoying all the pictures on all the family blogs. Not a lot going on here. Debbie is in Dallas trying to solve numerous problems. I am still fighting the tiredness from my Broncitis. I just have to keep myself going. I thought about using the exercise equipment but instead I went up and down the stairs five times. Then I put the upper oven on clean. After the oven was cooled off this afternoon, I cleaned the spots and then decided to shine up the granite tops. I am always drawn to kitchens. I decided that was plenty of exercise for today.
I am still using my "Happy Light". I hope this mild weather keeps up. The warmer weather always brightens my day too.
One of the sisters at Church loaned me a book to read. It is called the "Christmas Jars" by Jason F. Wright. It is a very short story. I read the whole book in a couple of hours. If you get a chance to read it,do. It is such an uplifting story and beautifully written. I have to take it back Sunday so she can pass it on.

Mild weather

I have not taken any pictures in January 2010 yet. This is a picture of deer going through the backyard on January 22, 2009. This was a nice mild streak between our snowfalls. So far we are having a mild winter here. I like this kind of winter. I am finally feeling like myself again. I even thought about going to the store but decided I would be lazy for another day. I do plan on going to Church tomorrow. Debbie and Erik have been working hard today picking up Christmas trees and working on the chipper. Kent had to work.

I am still using my "Happy Light". It is easy to imagine you are sitting in the sun. The light still has a calming effect for me. The room seems so much brighter. Of course, I could be brainwashed with the literature that came with it, but whether it actually works or whether you believe it works, the outcome is the same. So now through the dreary winter days, I can have my little bit of summer.

I better not brag too soon about the mild weather since we still have a lot of weeks to go.
