BUSY WEEKEND

My new Dinette set. I was going to wait to buy a new table but this lovely set was on sale and I couldn't help myself. We had a busy weekend. Richard had come over Thursday. Friday we were gone all day. Richard had some business to take care of in Tacoma so Donna took us. It poured rain the whole day. We did stop and have some Mexican food. Saturday Debbie, Kent and Erik came to visit. It was so nice to have them come over. We had lunch at the Chinese place near Penney's. My dinette set was being delivered around 2pm so we had to get back and wait for that. We played Uno until the furniture came. Debbie, Kent and Erik and Richard, of course, were here when the furniture came. It was a very nice day for me to have everyone here. Richard repotted my Snake plant. Laif was able to get rid of the old carpeting since Richard was here with the van and they could take it to the dump. Now I have to tell you about me. I cannot be trusted alone. Like I wrote on my earlier blog my bedroom furniture was being delivered on Thursday. Donna and Laif did not get back from Disneyland until late the night before my bedroom furniture was to be delivered so I had been moving everything out of both bedrooms that I could. I moved two big storage bins from the guest bedroom that were real heavy. (Donna had told me not to but I figured I could do it OK) I felt the muscle in my right leg actually pull. So immediately I started taking Advil but, of course, being the sensible person I always am I kept moving stuff. Actually by Friday my leg was doing good. Then Friday evening while I was starting to get ready for bed I caught my foot in the cord of my electric blanket. I was trying not to fall so I seemed to be going one way and my leg wanted to go another way. My leg hurt so bad when I had to get up or down. I was mad because I knew Debbie and them were coming over Saturday. They got to hear me moan and groan. So I was back on the Advil routine and by Sunday afternoon my leg was doing good. So Sunday evening I was sitting on the couch upstairs watching TV with Donna. Richard and laif had both left. I suddenly got a horrible spasm in my leg. The pain was so bad I could not move my leg at all without screaming. I am so glad Richard and Laif had left because I would not have wanted them to hear me screaming. Donna put a heating pad on my leg and finally after about a half hour I was able to move my leg. I had to sleep upstairs because I could not do the stairs. Now this morning I am doing much better. My leg is very sore and it still hurts to get up and down but I can at least get around. I am resting my leg today. Tomorrow Donna will be at school and I will have to drive by myself to the dentist. Donna said she should send me back to Debbie but she thinks my warranty is up.
