Snowing this afternoon-March 8, 2010

This is not a picture of today's snow. This is a picture taken on March 9, 2009 when we were waking up to a lot of snow days during the winter months.
The snow that is coming down now really doesn't look like it will amount to much. This is the first snow we have had here so far this winter. It is unbelievable how rapidly the weather can change.
Saturday was just an absolutely gorgeous day. Diane, Debbie, Donna and I all went to the Northwest Women's show. I really enjoyed it so much. Ann Rule, one of my favorite authors, was not there this year as she is recovering from a serious spinal infection. She is older than I thought. Debbie found out she is 74. Ann Rule used to be a detective for the Seattle Police Department. She mainly writes true crime stories. The stories are so well written you can hardly put her books down. Ann Rule at one time was a friend of Ted Bundy. You can read about that in her book entitled "The Stranger Beside Me".
I was glad to have the little outing Saturday. The crowds were smaller than last year and some of the booths that were there last year were not there this year. We still had a lot to see and free samples to enjoy. I always look forward to the Bone Density Screening. My bones are still good for my age so I feel good about that.

  1. I should look into the Ann Rule books. They sound good.
